Industry insiders are agreeing that Katy Perry’s recent song Birthday is still failing to gain significant usage against the more established song, Happy Birthday To You, despite four months and a substantial marketing campaign.
“Looking back, maybe it’s too long. Maybe people really just want a quick 30 second song to monotonously drone as someone blows out the candles on their cake. Maybe almost 4 minutes is pushing it a little bit, especially with the dance break.” The head of the marketing campaign told us.
