(Montgomery, AL) –The father of local high school senior Scott Woodson completely failed to understand the point and dropped off his son at school this morning, a day known among Scott’s fellow students as ‘Senior Skip Day’.
“At first, Scott seemed very reluctant to go to school this morning. I was starting to get concerned that there could be some bullying going on. But then, in a huff, Scotty told me that it was something called ‘senior skip day’, and well, I just couldn’t let him miss out on something like that. So I drove him to school myself and dropped him off at the door.”
“I’ll be honest, I have no idea what it could entail, but it does sound like a lot of fun. I don’t know if it means they have to skip between classes, in that fun sort of running way. Or maybe there’s some kind of jump rope contest at lunch? I think they call that ‘skipping’ in England. I just know that he’s going to thank me when he gets home for making him go to school on Senior Skip Day.”
